What’s the one play that makes linebackers question what they are supposed to do?

If you said Play-Action then you are right.

You see every linebacker has to read his keys to know what to do.

If his key run blocks, he knows it’s a run and he fills or scrapes.

If his key pops up and pass blocks, it’s a pass and he drops into coverage.

That’s just Defense 101…unless you are live or die by the blitz and man coverage type of coach.

So if his key looks like a run block, but it’s a pass, his only option is to react after it’s too late.
