Are you having fun coaching the passing game of your offense?

If the answer is yes…don’t read on, you are good.

If it’s a big fat “NO”, then it may just be a matter of finding passing concepts that don’t take a genius to understand and coach.

A few years back I had a similar dilemma. Our passing game was terrible and I couldn’t get anything to work against decent teams.

Sure we could complete passes to players against the bottom dwellers of the conference, but that wasn’t saying much.

In my efforts to find concepts that were simple to grasp and easy to teach, I ran across this video on the Run and Shoot.

Something about the way June breaks it down just made sense to me and from that point on, I was hooked.

So I kept researching it and I started trying out a few pass concepts.

The first one I tried was this very “Go” concept. It was very simple because I already had the Trips Open formation and a sprint out protection in place.

I knew I just wanted the ball to get out fast so I even tagged the play “Quick” to help remind our QB and WR’s to get the ball out fast.

From that first time we ran it and on, I couldn’t believe just how simple of a play it was to run.

All our QB had to do was get the snap, start moving outside and throw on the run to one of two players.

As we started getting more confident in the play, I added more and showed my players just how awesome it was to have a play that worked against anything and always had somebody open.

That season it became our best passing play hands down and we even had many “big” gain plays that came from it.

It didn’t take long for me, a complete stranger to the Run and Shoot and had never coached it, to become confident in my understanding of how to install it and fix any problems that arise.

I want to show you how easy it is to run this play so you can also start fresh this year with a pass play that is your “Go-To” when you need passing yards because teams are piling up on you inside the box.

That first year, we didn’t install any other Run and Shoot concepts, just “GO”…

Thinking about it now, I would have added more just to have more options, but we didn’t need to. We still had a solid run game and screen game.

The point is, even if you have most of your offense figured out already, now’s a perfect time to experiment and try some new things.

Imagine how good your offense could be if you could throw the ball as well as you can run it.

With all these new restrictions on hitting and contact, you’ve got nothing better to do all off-season then to get your QB’s and Receivers on the same page.

Very few other coaches are going to try it because they all think it’s too complex. Instead you will have the advantage and can take it to the bank when next year they wonder how your receivers are always open.

So if you want to learn exactly how to run it and get all the strategies and secrets that I’ve compiled, I’ve got a gift for you.

I have created a “Coaches Playbook” of the Go Route you can have for free.

I’ve also recorded instructional videos describing exactly how to run the GO route along with some of my favorite GO route Run and Shoot highlights.
